Baking with CWA
On Thursday the Year 6s were very lucky to work with some ladies from the local CWA (Country Women's Association) who came in and donated their time to teach the students how to make scones.
All of the students were involved in mixing, kneading and rolling out the dough. Some students even whipped the cream with a hand-held beater, which they realised was a lot more work than our electric beaters that we use today. A big thanks to the ladies who came in for the morning. I think they enjoyed their time as much as we did!
