Year 3 have been learning about the Stolen Generation, a tragic time in our past where  Aboriginal children were removed from their families and communities by Government officials.  Students have studied and analysed 'Stolen Girl' by Trina Saffioti and 'Took the Children Away' by Archie Roach.

Students have learned that narratives have the power to inform and influence the audience to feel a certain way about true events and real-life experiences. They explore how authors and illustrators use language features and techniques to create mood.
