National Apology Day is observed on February 13th every year. It marks the anniversary of the 2008 National Apology to the Stolen Generations, who suffered trauma because of past government policies of forced child removal.

To commemorate this day the local council organises a walk of awareness in Port Adelaide followed by a Smoking Ceremony, Kaurna welcome and a morning tea.

The Aboriginal Education Team along with classroom teachers selected a small group of students from our 5/6 classes to represent our school on this important day.
