Harmony Week

In Week 8, Le Fevre Primary celebrated Harmony Week. This annual event is held between March 17-23 and is dedicated to celebrating Australian multiculturalism, promoting inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging for everyone. Throughout the week, classes participated in a range of activities, songs, and stories to share the message that “Everyone Belongs.”
During the week, each class was given a canvas to decorate and create their message about belonging. Please keep an eye out over the next couple of weeks as we reveal our masterpiece.
On March 21st, we celebrated Harmony Day, a day that recognises cultural diversity and promotes inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for all Australians. Orange is the colour chosen to represent Harmony Day, traditionally signifying social communication and meaningful conversations, as well as symbolising the freedom of ideas and the encouragement of mutual respect. We ended the week with a whole school picnic under the COLA. It was wonderful to see so many students and staff dressed in either orange or traditional attire.
