Principal's Report

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

As Term 1 2025 comes to a close, it is time to reflect on some substantial achievements and highlights.

We have been busy with a range of events and activities throughout the Term.

This has included:

· Acquaintance Night

· Governing Council AGM

· Semaphore Beach Clean Up

· Harmony Day

· SAPSASA District Athletics and Swimming Carnivals

· SAPSASA Softball Championships

· Shark Cup – Baseball

· Parent –Teacher interviews

· NAPLAN

· Excursions included Parliament House, Adelaide Zoo, Walk of Awareness, Kaurna Day, just to name a few.

Staff Information

Room 11 welcome back Skye Fletcher on Thursdays. We thank Jess Searle who has been teaching in the class this term.

Gary Ramsey will be taking Long Service Leave until the end of the year. We hope that he enjoys some well earned time for himself.

Kahlia Miller-Koncz, ACEO, will be taking leave until the end of Term 3. I know that she has some exciting plans.

Outstanding Achievement Awards – Term 1

At the end of each term, two students from each class are selected by their teacher to receive the Principal’s Outstanding Achievement Award for demonstrating the school values of Respect, Responsibility and Effort The winners for this term are:

4 Peter Galanos Ryder Respect - For always being a kind-hearted, thoughtful classmate
4 Peter Galanos Charlotte Responsibiliy - For consistently demonstrating responsibility and leadership in the classroom
5 Kate Newman Mackenzie Respect - for always being mindful of the wellbeing of herself and others around her
5 Kate Newman Luke Responsibility - for taking responsibility for his learning in all areas of the Curriculum
8 Hayley Peacock Oscar Effort - For giving his absolute best at taking in all that school has to offer and building his confidence and resiliency 
8 Hayley Peacock Andrew Responsibility - for consistently stepping up to be a responsible and helpful class leader
9 Bec Davidson/Alana Marchioretti  Ben For taking responsibility of his behaviour and using strategies to make positive choices.
9 Bec Davidson/Alana Marchioretti Hayley Effort- for trying really hard to learn all her letter sounds.
10 Linda Ward Tobias Respect - for being so kind to all his classmates and always speaking nicely to everyone.
10 Linda Ward Josephine Effort - For working very hard and doing her best in all her subject areas.
11 Kelly Jones Franklin Respect - for being kind to his classmates and helping others. 
11 Kelly Jones Milkana Effort - for working hard to learn new things. 
13 Karen Leaney/Toni Zuanic Dana Effort -for always doing her best to achieve her goals.

21 Brenton McGorman Olivia Effort- for giving 100 percent to her school work and all other reponsibilities

Congratulations to all of these students for having a successful term.

Attendance Award

Congratulations to Audrey who has had 100% attendance throughout the entire Term.

Term 2

Along with all the staff, I hope you all have a safe and enjoyable 2 weeks with your children and we look forward to working with you next term.  School will resume on Monday 28th April.
