Dear Families,
Welcome to our final newsletter for the term. It’s been a really busy term. Thank you for the support that we continue to receive from our community. LPPS has continued to provide lots of opportunities for our students and we look forward to the second half of the year.
Reminder:
Friday 2nd July is a Student Free Day.
COVID 19 Update
Please ensure when entering school buildings you are vigilant in scanning the QR Codes. As we know Covid-19 evolves daily so please ensure you are connected on Szapp and Seesaw as these are our main platforms of communication. If you require assistance please see Caitlin in the Front Office.
Outstanding Achievement Awards – Term 2
At the end of each term, two students from each class are nominated by their teacher to receive the Principal’s Outstanding Values Award. Each student will be presented with a certificate. The winners for Term 2 can be found in this newsletter.
Congratulations to all of them on such a successful term.

Staff News
Josie Seedsman will be finishing at Le Fevre Primary today. Josie has been a valued member of our school and our wonderful SSO team. Josie has worked with a large number of students throughout the school. Staff have appreciated her support in class and her dedication to help students improve. Thank you and good luck with your new position.
We welcome Skye Fletcher who has just been appointed to Le Fevre Peninsula Primary School through the Department for Education placement process as a Junior Primary teacher. Skye will start at the beginning of Term 3 and will replace Shelley Scott as the co-teacher with Rebecca Davidson in room 16 (year 2). Skye is extremely excited to be appointed to Le Fevre and will introduce herself to families early next term.

The students in Room 8 are fortunate to attend a weekly swimming lesson as part of their Health & PE curriculum. The supportive and well known charity, Variety generously fund the weekly transport for the students to get to and from the Thebarton Aquatic Centre. The staff, children and families are extremely appreciative of this support. Thank you Variety!

Room 8 Classroom Teacher
Congratulations to our Room 9 and 10 Receptions who celebrated 100 days at school. Ms Linda and Ms Jones organised pass the parcel, pinata and a class party to celebrate their success.
We are excited to share the planting of our Reconcilation Tree in the garden. Thank you Jett, Cruz, Keanu, Addyson and Darren. We can't wait to watch it grow!
A big congratulations to the Rec-1 Le Fevre Dolphins basketball team who have taken out the MSBL Basketball Championship for Terms 1 and 2. The team, coached by Sonia Peay were undefeated for the season. Well done to all the players on their outstanding effort and sportsmanship.
Hi there, LPPS community.
Here we are at the end of Term 2 already. It’s hard to believe we are at the half way mark of the school year.
We are powering through our adventures with Archie in the Junior Primary years. His escapades have included ‘what it feels like to compromise’, ‘how we can be patient waiting for our turn’ and ‘what it feels like to think of other’s feelings as well as our own’.
Quite a few students now come and see me when they need some help or advice in how to handle their big emotions, and I would encourage you all to remind your young people that I am there if they need someone to talk with.
Children’s Uni had several great sessions lately with quite a few investigating how to make planes, albeit paper ones’ fly! and then another group made birdfeeders from pop-sticks. Already, we have 5 students who have their first lot of hours to graduate. Keep getting those stamps everyone.
Our bright Green Jackets have arrived for our student Mentors who will now receive some training and we will see them in the yard very soon.
A thought to ruminate on;
“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.”- Mark Twain
