Dear Families,
As we look back on Term 3, we begin to realise how many exciting events happened in our school on top of our daily routines. Some of these have included:
Swimming, Sports Day, School Soccer, Cross Country, Book Week, Book Fair, Science Week, Arbury Park camp, AFL Max, Girls Football- Crows Cup, SAPSASA events including Hockey, Soccer, AFL and Athletics.
Thank you to all the staff and parent volunteers that have supported our programs throughout the term.
Staffing Information
Mr McGorman and Mr Ramsey will be taking leave in Week 1 of Term 4. Relief teachers will cover both classes during that time.
NAPLAN Results
NAPLAN reports have been distributed to all families of students who participated this year.
The NAPLAN is a snap shot of your child’s achievements in comparison to other students of the same year level in Australia.
NAPLAN is just one measure of your child’s performance. Le Fevre Peninsula Primary School uses various tests or measures of achievement in the areas of literacy & numeracy. The results of these assist in providing learning programmes for students and are reported to parents through our written reports in Terms 2 & 4.
Should you wish to discuss your child’s NAPLAN results, please contact your child’s classroom teacher to arrange a meeting time.
Staff will analyse the results early next term.
Class Placements 2023
Currently, we are looking at numbers of children for 2023 so that we can begin the class placement process. It would help our planning if you know of any changes for next year (eg if you are moving, etc and not planning on returning to Le Fevre Peninsula Primary School) please let the front office know as soon as possible.
Also, if you know of any families considering enrolling at Le Fevre Peninsula Primary School for next year, could you please let them know to contact us at their earliest convenience.
Finally, if you have any specific requests for the placement of your child, (friendships, etc) please put them in writing to me using the note recently sent home. If you require a new note, these are available at the front office.
Please note that while requests are taken into consideration, there are no guarantees that they can be acted upon.
Thank you in advance for your support.

Wow, what a wonderful time everyone had with our local community Police Officer Senior Constable Brett Massey. On Wednesday the 28th September, all of our students were able to hear presentations about topics that were relevant to them. Brett spoke about the role of the police, the problems around bullying/harassment and gave the older students an understanding of the Youth Justice system.
The students’ attentions were glued to what he was sharing and he graciously answered as many questions as possible form our student body. The conversations continued throughout the day.
Whilst the whole day was wonderful in showcasing the vital role that police do within our community, a special mention must be made of the time Brett spent with our fabulous Room 8 students. He welcomed their questions that came thick and fast, and satisfied most of their curiosities. As a special treat they got to see through the police car and understand most of the unique equipment that the police need to keep us safe. Brett even treated them to the flashing lights and a blast of the siren too!
A special thanks to Senior Constable Brett as he certainly demonstrated how approachable and helpful the police are in keeping our community safe.
Thank you to everyone who supported Room 20/21’s Bake Sale – either by making something to sell or bringing in some change to buy a sweet treat!
It was such a great success! We managed to raise much more than we had hoped and will be able to put it towards making the Year 6 Graduation extra special!
Room 20 & 21
During science lessons this term we have been looking at the topic Electricity. We have learnt new words such as amp, volts, electrons, circuits, insulators and conductors. We learned how to make circuits with batteries that lit up globes and set off buzzers.
To test our knowledge and demonstrate what we learnt, we made ‘Skill-Tester Buzz Games’ – Which were a challenge to make and a challenge to complete! We had lot’s much fun though!
