Dear Parents and Caregivers,
What an amazing Sports Day. It was fabulous to combine our Colour Run and Sports Day.
Congratulations to the RED team on winning our Sports Day.
Thank you to all of the team captains who did an amazing job organising the team chants and the warm up routines. I was impressed with their organisation and enthusiasm.
It was great to see some new activities during the tabloid events. The students were fantastic all day.
Thanks to Amanda Nelson and the Sports day committee who coordinated the event. Thanks to the teachers and SSO’s, and also to Wendy and the volunteers who managed the Sports Day lunches.
Ms Leah and the Parent group also added a splash of colour to the day by selling sports team coloured merchandise.
External School Review (ESR)
Le Fevre Peninsula Primary School recently completed the 2023 external review. The review is completed every 3 years with the purpose of supporting schools to raise achievement, sustain high performance and to provide quality assurance.
Special thanks to all of the staff, students and families who participated and provided feedback and contributed to the process.
Each ESR acknowledges the impact of directions from the previous External Review and will provide 3 new directions to each school for the next 3 years.
The outcome and review directions can be found on our website.
LPPS Directions August 2023
Direction 1
Strengthen learner agency through regular provision of targeted and timely feedback which supports students to reflect on and impact their learning.
Direction 2
Strengthen whole school processes to ensure staff receive regular feedback enabling them to refine practice and evaluate the impact of their changes on learning outcomes.
Direction 3
Revisit vision and values to develop a collective understanding of wellbeing and behaviour education aligned with the schools social and emotional programs.
2024 Classes
At the moment, we are beginning to look at numbers of children for 2024 so that we can begin the class placement process. It would help our planning if you know of any changes for next year (eg if you are moving etc and not planning on returning to Le Fevre Peninsula Primary School) if you could let the Front Office know as soon as possible.
Also, if you know of any families considering enrolling at Le Fevre Peninsula Primary School for next year, could you please let them know to contact us at their earliest convenience.
Finally, if you have any specific requests for the placement of your child, (friendships, etc) please put them in writing to me using the note recently sent home no later than Friday 20th October (Term 4, Week 1) or email me at bob.bowden832@schools.sa.edu.au.
Please note that while requests are taken into consideration, there are no guarantees that they can be acted upon.
Thank you for your support.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all those children that have been involved in weekend sports finals. It is a rare opportunity that we get to play in finals and is something they will remember for a long time.
Congratulations to our 35 students who competed in the District Cross Country trials at Semaphore last week and Ryker who competed in the SAPSASA Athletics Championships on Tuesday.
Special thanks to Amanda Nelson and Leah for selecting the cross country team and supervising on the day.
