Dear Parents/Caregivers,

Welcome to Sam Brewer who is visiting us on a teacher exchange from Calgary, Canada. Sam will spend 2 weeks with us and is being hosted by Fiona Prentice.

Fiona was able to do her exchange back in January and experienced some of Canada’s best winter weather. Sam currently teaches year 6.

Miss Prentice has already taken Sam to Kangaroo Island and is planning a trip to Cleland this weekend.

I was privileged enough to do a 12 month exchange in Edmonton, Canada. It was an experience of a lifetime and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of teaching in another country.

Although the exchange programme is relatively short, we hope that Sam enjoys the opportunity and the time spent with us.

Book Week Parade- Week 5

Get excited for Book Week! We will be hosting our regular “Book Week Parade” on Wednesday 21^st August @ 9am. 

We will be managing the Scholastic Book Fair. This is a great opportunity to purchase reading material for your family. The Book Fair will be open from Friday 16th August (3pm-3:30pm) and Monday 19th - Wednesday 21st August (8:15am – 8:45am & 3pm – 3:30pm) The Book Fair will be held in room 3, just follow the signs!

Reception Enrolment 2025

We are following the new procedure for 2025 Reception Enrolments.

All registration of interests for 2025 reception Term 1 enrolments should have been received by the school.

If you are aware of anyone who is yet to enrol, please advise them to contact the school ASAP.

Enrolments for the 2025 midyear Reception intake will be accepted later in 2024. Parents are encouraged to return an “Expression of Interest” form by the end of 2024 at the latest (or ASAP)

National OSHC Educators’ Day – Wednesday 31^st July

Wednesday was OSHC Educators’ Day, an opportunity to celebrate the importance of our OSHC educators and the positive impact they have in the lives of children, young people and their families.

We thank our OSHC educator’s excellent work and acknowledge the breadth of skill and experience we have in our network of OSHC services. There is incredible diversity across the OSHC sector, with many different pathways into an OSHC career, and this brings great value and richness to the services, relationships and support offered to children and families.

Congratulations to the following students who received assembly awards at the assembly today based on the Keys to Success Focus- Confidence.

Students were asked to select a country to represent for the lesson. They then had to skip for as long as they could. The top 3 student in the class got to stand on the podium.
