Dear Families,

As we look back on Term 3, students and classes have been involved in so many activities and learning experiences.

Sports Day, SSO Week, School Soccer, Book Week, Book Fair, AFL Max camp, excursions, School Disco, Fathers Day Stall, CWA visits, MALPA (Year 5/6) and the Aboriginal STEM conference, Choir excursions, Indonesian Day, just to name a few.

Thank you to all the staff and parent volunteers that have supported our programs throughout the term.

Staffing Information

Miss Leah will be taking leave for week 1 of Term 4.

School Sport

Congratulations to Khloe and Jessica for being selected in the Port SAPSASA AFL Football team. The team will play in the state championships 27^th – 29^th October.

Class Placements 2026

Currently, we are looking at numbers of children for 2026 so that we can begin the class placement process. It would help our planning if you know of any changes for next year (eg if you are moving etc and not planning on returning to Le Fevre Peninsula Primary School) if you could let the front office know as soon as possible.

Also, if you know of any families considering enrolling at Le Fevre Peninsula Primary School for next year, could you please let them know to contact us at their earliest convenience.

Finally, if you have any specific requests for the placement of your child, (friendships etc) please put them in writing to me using the note recently sent home.

Please note that while requests are taken into consideration, there are no guarantees that they can be acted upon.

Term 3 Outstanding Attendance Award

I am pleased to announce that 2 students attended all day, every day in Term 3. I would like to congratulate Caidance (Rm 18) and Koby S (Rm 4) who were chosen for the attendance award.

What a great night was had by all of the students at the disco. Over 170 students danced their way through the night. Special thanks to Leah, the staff members who supervised, the Parent Group for their organisation and the Governing Council members for their support.

Last Friday our cohort travelled by bus to Le Fevre High School for a day of cultural learning and fun. We were joined by students from Sekolah Pilar Indonesia (our Indonesian sister school), Woodville High, and Largs Bay Primary.

The day began with a warm opening ceremony, and thanks to a few brave students stepping up first, our whole group soon joined in a lively group dance—an unexpected highlight that had everyone smiling.

Our favourite activities included playing traditional Indonesian games led by students from our sister school, cooking delicious dishes with Bu Liza, learning to play the traditional bamboo angklung instrument, dancing, and enjoying a friendly game of badminton.

We returned to school exhausted, happy, and full of new and interesting learnings from this unforgettable experience!

Last week, Rooms 4 and 17 visited the Space Discovery Centre in Adelaide for an unforgettable learning adventure. Students explored interactive exhibits, discovered how rockets are launched, and learned about Australia’s role in space exploration. A highlight of the day was meeting Katherine Bennell-Pegg, the first person to qualify as an astronaut under the Australian flag. She shared her inspiring journey and encouraged students to dream big and aim high. The excursion left everyone buzzing with excitement, sparking curiosity about science, technology, and the incredible possibilities of space.
