Upper Primary News

Room 18 have been investigating forces in Science. We have looked at 'balanced' and 'unbalanced' through a number of different experiments. We have been reading about gravity, friction and how it impacts upon us and the world around us. We have also started to investigate Newton's Laws of Motion. 

One of our collaborative tasks in Science was to plan and construct a device that can launch a ping pong ball 1 metre in any direction. There were lots of discussions about our designs. Groups drew a number of different plans, discussed the pros and cons of their devices as well as made and remade devices based on initial testing. It was a great task where everyone was able to contribute in many different ways.
